Terms of Service
Last updated: May 29, 2026 · Operated by Exapta Labs
The short version
- You own your health data. We don't read it, sell it, or share it.
- The app is provided as-is. We do our best, but no software is perfect.
- Don't use Open Vitals as a medical device. It's a sync tool.
- If you abuse the relay (spam, malware, scraping), we can disconnect you.
- By using the app, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
License
Open Vitals is licensed to you for personal use on devices you own or control. The software itself remains the property of Exapta Labs. The companion skill is open-source under the MIT license — see the repository.
Medical disclaimer
Open Vitals is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Health data shown in the app and synced to your destinations is read from Apple HealthKit, which itself relies on sensors and user input that can be inaccurate. Do not make medical decisions based on Open Vitals data alone — always consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the cloud relay to transmit data that isn't yours.
- Reverse-engineer, abuse, or attempt to overload the relay infrastructure.
- Resell or rebrand Open Vitals without written permission.
- Use the service in violation of applicable law.
We reserve the right to suspend service for any device that violates these terms.
No warranty
The app and relay are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Exapta Labs disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
In no event will Exapta Labs be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Open Vitals, including but not limited to loss of data, missed medical events, or third-party server outages.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
